Welcome to Nevada Custom Closets & Garage! Our company and family has been proudly serving the Reno/Tahoe area for over 17 years. We are a locally owned small business that cares about you and the community that we serve.
We started as a shop-at-home window-covering business in 2003. In 2013, we expanded our business and opened our first brick and mortar location. We currently have a beautiful 5,300 square foot showroom space in south Reno. Our products include window coverings, closet systems
, garage systems
, home furnishings, and accessories.
Our designers, Michelle Wollmann and Laura Sutton, are experienced and will design based on your specific needs.
Our installers, Rich Wollmann and Jarad Rice, are experienced and they care about every detail.
At Nevada Custom Closets & Garage, our clients are our first priority: We promise to be there and to make sure that you are satisfied from concept to completion. We work with each client on an individual basis, so your space will be created with your specific needs in mind. You will be guided by our experts throughout the entire process. Just as importantly, we treat you and your home with respect. We are clean and careful to treat your belongings as we would want our own treated.
About the owner, Michelle Wollmann
As the founder of Nevada Custom Closets & Garage, I have an extensive background in home design. My career started in 1990 as a manufacturer’s representative in the home furnishings industry. I covered a large territory, helping my retailers select the most fashion-forward products for their showrooms.
In 1996, I took a position as a national sales manager for one of the vendors that I represented. I was in charge of our sales force of over 200 reps nationwide. I grew the company by hiring designers and sourcing and manufacturing products from all over the world.
In September of 2001, I was at a trade show in Boston, Massachusetts. At the time I was living in Los Angeles, California, and was scheduled to fly home on Tuesday, September 11. My flight was to be United 175. Thankfully, I missed my flight that morning. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of all of those who were not as fortunate as I was. I drove across the country to get home that next day. It was during that drive that I decided that I had to leave the company I was with for a career that wouldn’t take me away from home as much. I worked from home for the next couple of years and then in October 2003, my husband and I moved to Reno and started our business here.
